A Reminder

"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

What an incredible verse and a reminder to us followers of Christ. I am as guilty as anyone about focusing on political and society to the point of dis-pare. When I read the verse I ask myself why do you focus on the "tribulation" part and neglect to focus on the "peace", Jesus command to "be of good cheer" and the fact that He HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD ALREADY!!!!! Conservationism, Liberalism, Progressive, Democratic, Libertarian political view will never win over true hope, peace or salvation. The constitution and the declaration of independence are not the infallible word of God, America is not a Christian nation and our deeds make that evident, laws only harden the heart, and the right to bear arms will not provide self defense and protect from a tyrannical government (remember a bunch of farmers beat the one of the greatest military forces in the world at that time and anyway it is not by Might nor by Power but by my Spirit says the Lord). The church in America is a mostly divided, stiff necked, self serving, individualist group of people. We place our rights over others, we don't like people different than us and serve God until is makes us uncomfortable. We refuse authority whether in our lives, politics or the Church. We neglect accountability and when someone calls us out we blame everyone else go to another church and back bite the church we left. I could go on and on but just look at Facebook at the response by Christians to Abortion post or especially Right to bear arms post verses Biblical post, Pro life post or prayer request post. Political and Gun post overwhelm get response compare to the few likes and comments on a prayer request. Christ says no weapon formed against shall prosper, nothing can separate us from the Love of God in Christ Jesus, we don't wrestle with flesh and blood but with spiritual principalities, you WILL HAVE tribulations, do good to those who persecute you, turn the other cheek, love your neighbor, if some one steals your shirt give them your coat, care for the widows, orphans and the poor, if a stranger is in your land give him place to rest, food to eat, (a christian that is anti immigration and desires legislation to capture and deport, arrest and jail them, build massive walls to keep them out is a Christian in direct defiance of Gods instruction. Just go to an online bible and search alien or stranger - God loves them desires good for them and requires us to remember we to where strangers and enemies of God).
What if every Christian prayed for Obama, trusting God and submitted to our government officials being good stewards of our USA liberties by through prayerful consideration voted, write our senators, pay taxes without grumbling. What if we got to know our Muslim neighbors taking the time to listen and know them and showing them our faith by our actions, or helping illegal aliens navigate the citizenship system and writing or government to streamline the process making it more friendly to the common user (have your ever seen what a Mexican immigrant with 3 kids has to pay and go through to become a citizen. I have and in is unrealistic and unattainable unless and American helps them). Again I can go on and on but I can't help but think that we must humble ourselves or God will do it for us.

I am done with my statement as I have probable said way to much. I get caught up periodically in the waves and storm instead of focusing on Jesus but He always rescues me when I call out.

In love.

sorry for any mistakes but I don't have the time to edit. Also I am not being judgmental, I am just telling you what I have been convicted of. Love you guys. Peace. - KK

The Conservative Version of Hope & Change

[When media is controlled & the truth is spun, sometimes you need to take advantage of an unorthodox opportunity to share vital truths! The left are upset because they were unable to manipulate the message. Dr Carson is the guy who can reverse the damage caused by liberal indoctrination & low-voter IQ]

Rarely does a person come along who truly inspires. But every so often, one rises up with a clear voice, offering a confident message brimming with hopeful determination. Dr. Benjamin Carson is the man responsible for the delivery of such a message. During this year’s National Prayer Day Breakfast, President Obama sat helplessly as Dr. Carson methodically dismantled the proposed efficacy of a national liberal agenda. Not only did Dr. Carson cover all the essential conservative talking points, but he did so with enthusiasm and authority.

A self made man who delivered himself out of poverty, the good doctor experientially knows that of which he speaks. Throughout his 27 minute speech, the Director of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital passionately endorsed the importance of education, morality, individuality, free thought, self reliance, and personal accountability as essential components for a vibrant America.

The wonderful thing about Dr. Carson is that the ‘powers that be’ just assumed he’d fall in line. The reality is he could have played it safe and nobody would have noticed. But the good doctor would not deny a golden opportunity to speak the truth; and with that opportunity, Carson has restored hope in a God-enlightened humanity.

Overall, it was a very brave and inspiring showing by Dr. Carson. We may have to seriously get behind the increasing possibility that Benjamin Carson gives a shaken and disjointed GOP it’s best opportunity for a victory in 2016. He stands above the politics, he’s fearless, he believes his message 100 percent, and there’s nothing phony about him. The Republican Party currently has some impressive young guns (i.e. Ryan, Paul, Rubio) who are poised to make a good showing; however, I don’t think any of those guys can change the voter tide.

Benjamin Carson is the right man, with the right message, at the right time.

Hope and change? Benjamin Solomon Carson, Sr. is thy name!

Hyphenated Christianity???

[How the 'progressive christian' values sin over morality]

A while back I had a Q&A with dUg Pinnick published at Burnside Writers Collective.

http://burnsidewriters.com/2012/11/13/interview-with-dug-pinnick/

This is the feedback I got from my friend & guest blogger Andrew 'Big Andy' Schreck

“Because he’s no longer a Christian, dUg Pinnick no longer considers homosexuality wrong or a sin."

Interesting convolution of logic, very characteristic of the American “buffet” style of morality.

Pick and choose what one wants, leave the rest behind.

Merely because I decide gravity has no influence on me, I still will never fly like Superman.

Similarly, declaring homosexuality “not wrong” does not invalidate its moral component or make it morally right.

But let’s get to the heart of the matter, does sin steal our salvation?

To answer that let’s substitute “obesity” for “homosexuality” and see what we get.

“Because he’s no longer a Christian, Pinnick no longer considers *obesity* wrong or a sin.”

Besides me, how many fat Christians do you know? I bet a lot!

Obesity is a sin just as homosexuality. The only difference is the cultural conflict clouding the easy answers.

So of course one can struggle and fail with the sin of homosexuality just as I do with obesity.

In fact, there is not one Christian alive today (or any day) that isn’t a “hyphenated” Christian… gay-Christian, fat-Christian, angry-Christian, etc.

However, it’s the order of the hyphenation that get’s us into trouble.

When the sin supersedes salvation, when we identify more with our sin than we do our savior, that’s when we get despondent, depressed, agnostic.

So I am a Christian-obese (doesn’t roll off the tongue as well, eh?)

In the end, though, the sin separates us from God, the labels separate us from each other.

Ask yourself, 'Is There a Hyphen in Christ-ian?'

Carry Thy Gun, Love Thy Neighbor

A gun in the hands of an evildoer troubles me. My hope is that in times of trouble and disarray, there will be just, responsible, God-fearing men that may rise up to slay those who seek to destroy.

I do believe that every individual has the right to carry a gun for protection and defense. But please, let’s pray we never have to use it. And let’s love our neighbor before and above our guns!

If we need to use our weapons, let's understand what it means to take a life and not do so recklessly without caution or just cause.... that an accidental, unintended, unwarranted death not be the final outcome!

May we carry our guns and love our neighbors!

God Bless America! Land of the free and home of the brave!!!

Prayer, Adam Lanza & The Old Deluder Act

I wonder if Adam Lanza ever prayed?

Was this disturbed young man so obsessed with guns and violence that he couldn't see anything else? Was he so self-isolating that he became unreachable? Did he know anything about the peace and mercy that can only be found in Jesus Christ? Or was Adam Lanza one of many children who are raised in a day that offers little true exposure to the Gospel of Christ.

We were once a Godly nation!

Its time we stop and take a look at where we are, where we're headed and where we've been...especially for the sake of our children, who have to grow up in a country, in a world, where God is no longer welcome.

"It being one chief project of that old deluder, Satan, to keep men from the knowledge of the Scriptures......It is therefore ordered that every township in this jurisdiction, after the Lord hath increased them to fifty households shall forthwith appoint one within their town to teach all such children as shall resort to him to write and read....And it is further ordered, that when any town shall increase to the number of one hundred families or householders, they shall set up a grammar school" - The Old Deluder Act (1647)

"The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools." (1782)

"Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, (John 17:3); and therefore to lay Jesus Christ as the only foundation of all sound knowledge and learning. And seeing the Lord only giveth wisdom, let every one seriously set himself by prayer in secret to seek it of him (Proverbs 2:3)." - Harvard University Student Handbook, Rule No.1

“Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers and our Country.” - New York Regents Prayer (1951)

“We think that by using its public school system to encourage recitation of the Regents' Prayer, the State of New York has adopted a practice wholly inconsistent with the Establishment Clause (First Amendment)" - the first of many rulings deeming (voluntary) group prayer in public schools unconstitutional. (1962)

Did Lanza ever have any knowledge or impression of God, or had Satan already taken hold of his soul?

"The Sandy Hook gunman worshiped the devil and had an online page dedicated to Satan, a former classmate revealed. Lanza's worshiping page had the word 'Devil' written in red, Gothic-style letters against a black background, Trevor L. Todd told The National Enquirer, something which he said was 'weird' and 'gave him the chills'." - The Daily Mail

Now I realize there are other issues at play here, including disability, divorce, proper and effective health services and accommodations, gun control, parenting, and community support, however......

Evil is alive in well in the world today. How many more tragedies do we need to endure before we finally open our eyes and see the world we've made, the world we've embraced, for ourselves and for our children???

Early reports seem to indicate all the factors involved in the Columbine shooting: self-isolation, pychotropic detox, violent video games, Satan worship, gun exposure & obsession, possibly poor parenting, community rejection, etc. that led Adam to snap.......wonder if he had ever heard the Gospel, the Gospel can get you through all types of physical & mental torment..... And atheists want to outlaw it!

My Response to Cries of Bigotry....

What is compassion? What is tough love offered out of good will to a fellow sinner who also struggles with urges & desires, that although different, run contrary to God's sanctioned, intended purpose?

Here's my response to Phil who is a self-declared homosexual,

[Hey Phil, if a Christian acts morally, spiritually, or physically superior in any way they are not coming from a place of genuine , spirit-led humility. If the God of the Bible is true, then so is Original Sin, hence, dispositions & behaviors that run counter to God's natural, desired & created order. If you don't keep that in mind in your discussions with Orthodox Christians you will be frustrated, but we are not Islamics.....we desire you peace & the salvation of your souls, we just can't embrace the lifestyle and don't believe this is a state issue, but a personal one. But every sinner needs grace and their spiritual eyes opened......Then the issue of your sexual predisposition will no longer matter, not saying that there is no struggle, but a much greater good
takes precedence]

I am left to wonder, are my words that of a bigot, or of a concerned, sober-minded Christian..... If what we believe is true, we must hold fast to truth in a charitable, honest and loving manner. And if what we say is true, who are those with blood on their hands?

Think about it.....

In Washed and Waiting, Wesley Hill writes for gay Christians and those who love them. Part-memoir, part theological reflection, Hill shares the struggles that gay Christians face as they seek to live faithful to God’s “no” to homosexuality.

{Spiritual Warfare & Fiery Trials}

'For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.' (Ephesians 6:12)

'Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.' (James 1:3)

'And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience' (Romans 5:3)

I firmly believe that all Christians are not only severely tried in this life but Christians often feel as if they're on the losing end of a life & death struggle.....they are in the pit with Joseph, blinded and cast into prison as Sampson, alone in a cave like David, they are in the belly of the whale, tossed to and fro on the ocean, beaten, bruised and shipwrecked like Paul, they are cast down, deeply afflicted, stricken with pain and grief, they are as Job.....

The Christian is severely tried, their foundation is shaken, their faith is tested.....they may be prodigals whom are running from God and are driven back or they are living at enmity against The Lord and His Church when they are knocked off their horse and are made to bow before The Almighty Redeemer.

Nobody chooses to be a Christian....they are driven there, on their knees, like a poor begger seeking a crumb, chasing a faint light, searching for a glimmer of hope, thirsting for a drop of milk....that the soul may be filled.....that they may be delivered from their miseries and rest in the bosom of He who has been made precious, the sweet Savior, Lord Jesus.....a Man of sorrows who knows our sufferings and has paid the price with His blood, He has been glorified and is worthy of our trust, our hope and ultimately our eternal praise.

Satan goes about like a roaring lion, seeking who he may devour, who he may destroy with his evil temptations, manipulations, snares, traps.....he knows our weaknesses and plays on our worst fears, leaving us broken and confused, deeply wounded and sore afraid but the Sovereign, Merciful Lord has meant it for our good.....we have sinned, we have brought ourselves into ruin.....but we have been made tender and humble.....armed with God's armor and ultimate protection we will fight many spiritual battles, endure several wounds, and wear many scars but we will persevere, the fires of hell will not claim us, but we will be brought home unto eternal glory for Jesus sake, Amen!
